Q&A mit Juliane Eirich – The Old Lady´s House
Imprint – Tracking Magenta´s Flash Forward Photographers
From the unpredictable documentations of her travels through Korea, to her stark depictions of Hawaiian school houses, Berlin and New York-based photographer Juliane Eirich’s work has taken her all over the world. This past summer, it brought her to Itoshima, Japan, where she participated in Studio Kura’s artist in esidence program. Juliane stayed in a traditional-style home in the countryside, about 40 minutes from Fukuoka, the main city in the Island of Kyushu. After a month of working on a number of new projects, the residency culminated in a solo exhibition entitled The house of the old lady.
This week, we’re chatting to Juliane about her experience in the residency program, her newest project, and her new camera.
